Miuccia Prada is not a conventional designer, and that is reflected in her latest show presented at the Paris Fashion Week, where she exhibited what is going to be the autumn-winter 2013/2014 hit.
And if Louis Vuitton bet on the artist Yayoi Kusama’s therapeutic polka dots, now Prada’s baby, Miu Miu, masterfully uses them with a novel touch, where Belle Époque becomes contemporary and the retro look becomes futuristic. Little handkerchiefs with the pattern at issue in striped socks, bright colors mixed with astrakhan black, or complete looks with polka dots have made the critics change their view and, ladies and gentlemen, also, that the union between real design and commercial activity is no longer a utopia and it is going to pave way to a new era. Thanks, Miuccia!
