The return to Barcelona of the Barcelona Tattoo Expo has met the expectations of the organizers. The almost 14,000 people that came on the 4th, 5th and 6th October are the proof that the art of tattoo is still on the rise.

Practically all the tattooer’s stands were full for the whole three days of the tattoo show and that has been one of the facts of the 16th event more emphasized by the organizers. The 180 tattooers, coming from 29 countries, did over 1,200 tattoos, generating approximately about 320,000 € in tattoos alone.

A lot of people also had the chance to meet, or have their tattoos done directly by some of the living myths of tattooing, like the American Jack Rudy, re-inventor of the “Fine Line” and the “Black & Grey”, or Horitoshi I, the highest exponent of traditional Japanese tattooing. Other noteworthy international names were Brent McCown (New Zealand), Norm (USA), José López (USA), Ching and Yang from East Tattoo (Taiwan) and Andrea Afferni (Italy).

Photography shows, “pin-up” fashion shows, seminars, cars and custom bikes shows, hakas or exhibitions of ancient Japanese martial arts… completed an offer that allowed all kinds of public of all ages to enjoy what has been the best event of the Expo until now.
