This summer the Centre of Contemporary Art of Malaga will hold the exhibition of one of the most important artists of the panorama of art in the 20th century, Marina Abramović.
As a forerunner of contemporary performance art, Abramovic has tried to explore the relationships between the artist and the audience, the body and the mind and their physical and psychological limits.
The exhibition, entitled Holding Emptiness, and curated by Fernando Francés, will have photography, videos and pictures that will invite the audience to interact with the work of this great Balkan artist.
On the other hand, the CAC of Malaga is one of the most important art centres of Andalusia. It was founded in 2003 and it has become a leader in the panorama of Spanish contemporary art with exhibitions by artists of the standing of Gerhard Richter, Santiago Sierra, Miquel Barceló an Robert Mapplethorpe, among others.
