The Paris-based American artist JonOne returns to Los Angeles for a new exhibition in the Fabien Castanier Gallery, which will keep him in town until the 12th of July.
JonOne began painting trains in New York during his adolescence, moving on to canvas at the beginning of the 90’s, when he started to exhibit his work in galleries. This obviously hasn’t kept him from doing some sporadic street work, since he participates in open-air exhibitions in different cities all around the world.
Despite being painted on canvases, his works maintain the impression of the graffiti, halfway between the Street tag and Pollock’s dripping, a fact that suggests an expressionist influence.
The exhibition, West Side Stories, will be held until the 12th of July in the Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles.
2919 La Cienega Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232
